You are standing on the asphalt runway of the Palau International Airport.  Having spent the last 20 hours of your life stuck in an aluminum tube watching The Brady Bunch Movie (edited for in-flight viewing), it's nice to finally be on the ground.  Off in the distance, the plane you arrived on, Continental Micronesia Flight 953, is being prepared for its return trip to Guam.  Since it doesn't leave until 2:40 a.m., nobody's moving very quickly.

In front of you is the terminal building.  The twin A-frame roofs are intended to resemble the traditional Palauan bai (meeting house), but for some reason, they remind you of the office at the KOA campground in Laramie, Wyoming.  Inside the terminal, the passengers from your flight are already lining up at the immigration desk.

You are sweating.  You really wish you had a towel.
